I think this was one of the last summer pears I got from the weekly farmers market held here in Lenox. I suspect that is why I was able to paint the fruit whole with out taking a bite. Seemed a shame to eat it as I knew there would not be another one so fresh for many many more months....... but when I finally did eat it I loved that pear (:
