  I decided to start posting the pieces from the "Lulu Aloha" series I have been working on.  (haven't got a handle on how to put the flat accent over the 2 u's in Lulu but they should be there).  It means Sew the seeds of Love in Hawaiian.  I'm painting these little cuties with my friends back there in mind and all the love they show me when I visit and the generous time they give to me.  Mmwa!  Love ya!  This Heliconia was a close up that I cropped and looks like a bird wearing a crown to me - hence the King title.

  Well here's a great little piece I did of a close up of the ship sailing into the Caribbean sunset.  I love the way the sun reflects different colors and really played that up in this piece which was done in the impressionist style.

A Good Read

  Well the poetry reading went great yesterday at The Bookstore in Lenox.  Both Dennis and Doria read magnificently.  It was wonderful to hear them breathe life into the written poems of R.A. Martelle that are all based on artwork done by me.  Kudos to everyone that came for a listen.  It was a great group in a great shop and we've been asked to do it again so I will keep you all posted as to the next time we can all manage it.  Happy Monday!

Join Shakespeare & Company Members for an afternoon of Prose reading at the The Bookstore in Lenox!  Members of the company will be reading the works of R.A. Martelle which were set to the artwork of Sophie Breton.  Open discussion on the influences each of the arts has on the other and the uplifted and development of the human potential to follow the readings.  Details listed below.
