Well this eggplant really was growing this wild in my garden this summer. I thought he was so cool I just had to paint him. Then I gave him to my boss to eat because well, you know I sort of bonded with him and then couldn't have him for supper!

Encore un Tomate Heirloom
BUY NOW $100
Yes, here is the only other heirloom tomato from my garden this summer that actually made it to the canvas. They were so delicious, plentiful and tasty that once they were ripe it seemed a shame not to eat them right away and I couldn't see torturing the big guy under the flood light!

Le Chat Noir Traque sa Prioe
So there I was in Hawaii a few days before the big show and the weather was miserable. Rain, clouds, winds. Just terrible. Well what are you going to do? Museums of course. While at the Bishop Museum and strolling the outer walkways I stumbled across this little panther that was quite obviously tracking his prey. He didn't seem to mind the rain at all. He wanted to catch his victim! So here is the first of Le Chat Noir d' Hawaii!

Tomate Heirloom
BUY NOW $100
Well it's nearly Thanksgiving and I've been making my list of things I am grateful for, which is very, very long and includes the fantastic year we had this summer in New England. Although the weather was hot and dry (which I loved) I had the best summer ever in the garden for tomatoes. Although most never made it to the canvas because I ate them so fast this one did. I had to upgrade to an 8 x 8 because I just couldn't fit him on the canvas he was so huge!

Mini Blue Lotus with Green
Hi here's one of my gorgeous lotus flowers I made on museum board in pastels. I just love looking at lotus flowers, this one being blue is a symbol of re-birth. Meditation on a lotus flower is good for you! Frame is black.

Simon at the Front Door
BUY NOW $100
Here he is! Simon, waiting at the front door of the Red Lion Inn. He's so cute as he awaits all the guests wondering which one will be the one to acknowledge him and leave the door open just the right amount of time so he can run in! Not sure how to get rid of that glare on the photo, sorry!

Light Pink Lotus
SOLD/UNAVAILABLE
I gave this piece to one of my bosses nieces that lost all of her belongings in the Hurricane Sandy storm. The lotus flower blossoms only after it endures the murkiest & darkest reaches of muddy waters. It is a symbol of transformation & hope.

Just getting back from Texas and the second level of Carol Marine's workshop on still lifes. This watermelon was created this summer and eaten rather quickly. In fact you can see I had to taste it first to make sure it was worthy of painting!
